After the New Jersey Audubon trip to Costa Rica I visited Maquenque Lodge, a fairly new lodge along the San Carlos River in northern Costa Rica.  I was delighted with this comfortable, rustic lodge.  It’s a peaceful place, surrounded by excellent habitat, with a young staff of pleasant, energetic young Costa Ricans.  If you have a chance to visit this region, I strongly recommend a stay at Maquenque.  Visit their website: maquenqueecolodge.com
