Northern Cardinal, once called the “Cardinal Grosbeak.”

Turkey Vultures (above) and Black Vultures (below) are seen soaring over The Beanery almost every day.

Cooper’s Hawks (above) wait quietly before ambushing larger songbirds, such as a Brown Thrasher (below).

Savannah Sparrows (left) and Northern Mockingbirds (right) were among the birds enjoying various berries found in the hedgerows and forest edges of the Rea Farm.  Here they’re both feasting on multiflora rose hips.
